Experience the Energy Smart Difference
Jagoe's commitment to building energy efficient homes includes working with RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network), a home energy rating system recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy.
All new Jagoe homes are inspected and rated by RESNET using a system called the HERS Index (Home Energy Rating System Index).
Look for a LOW HERS Index
The lower a home scores on the HERS Index, the more energy efficient it is. Because brand new Jagoe homes average a HERS Index of 68, they are up to 30% more energy efficient than standard new homes AND at least 60% more energy efficient than existing homes.
To YOU that means lower energy usage, lower energy costs, and a more comfortable home that's better for the environment.
BUYERS, LOOK for a HERS Index rating in every new AND existing home you consider. Remember a low HERS score means lower energy usage, lower costs, and a more comfortable home year-round.
SEE the Jagoe Energy Smart Difference!
Existing Homes – HERS scores are 130 or higher. That's at least 60% less efficient than a Jagoe Energy Smart home. Drafty doors and windows, insulation and other issues are the cause.

Jagoe Energy Smart Homes – Intelligent design, quality construction and high-performance, doors, windows, appliances and systems earn new Jagoe homes an average HERS score of 68.
